Houseboat safaris are a fantastic way to experience the wilderness and wildlife of Matusadona and lake Kariba. With a houseboat you will be able to tie up on the shores and explore on foot the bush of the Matusadona National Park.
Houseboats also make the most fantastic photographic platforms that allow you to make some stunning scenery shots and views of the wildlife which you will not be able to get on land. All of the boats offer comfort and all facilities needed and are skippered by qualified and dedicated men; qualified in the job they do and dedicated to give you an adventure of your life.
All houseboats have comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, a lounge, bar and a sundeck with sunbeds.
All houseboats have a tender to manoeuvre into the smaller channels and creeks to get on shore.
These tenders will also be used for spectacular sundowner cruises.
Early in the morning and late afternoon the boat will tie up at the shores of Matusadona or Charara for a walk and tracking the lions.The shoreline also attracs many buffalos, impalas and elephants. During these trips you are accompanied by your personal armed guide/hunter who will let you enjoy your safari to the fullest. At the hottest part of the day, a well earned meal will be served on deck and you will have time to sit back and enjoy the view and cool breeze while the boat is moving on to another spot. But you can also throw out an angle. The lake is home to a diverse fish population including the famous Tigerfish. When desired, fishingrods, tackle and bait can be provided!
There is a wide choice of houseboats that can host from 4 to 40 people and all the boats have a qualified captain & crew. Most boats have a sun deck and many have small pools for 'cooling off'.
