GEN. DESCRIPTION :

Accommodation consists of three cabins on the lower deck, two with double beds and one with two single beds. In the lounge area, seating forms four single beds.
There are 12 single mattresses for those who prefer to sleep under the stars.
There are 2 showers, 2 toilets, and a bath. A swimming cage is off the Bermuda deck. 
Water Scorpion is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery and linen. There is a gas stove/oven, There is no air conditioning. 
Breakfast and dinner is served in the lounge area thereby enabling the crew to either make up or put away the bedding and mattresses and clean the top deck.. If you would like to have lunch upstairs please inform the Chef of this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EXTRA FACILITIES :

The top deck is covered to protect Clients from the elements.

TENDER BOATS :

There are two tender boats - the large Pontoon may ONLY be driven by the Captain. These boats are limited to a three kilometer radius of the houseboat and are ideal for fishing and game/bird viewing. Your own boat may be towed behind Water Scorpion - entirely at your own risk. Please note you will be charged a slip way fee by Carobeck if they use their tractor to put your boat into the water plus a nightly fee for vehicles parked in their garages. If you are a keen fisherman, bring your rods, tackle and bait. Kapenta, bait for tiger, can be organized for you from an outlet in Kariba..

 

 

 

 

 

 

COLD SPACE :

 3 fridges, 2 deep freezers and ample cooler boxes for storing ice. Unfortunately the generator needs to run for at least 6 hours per day in order to keep the deepfreezes and fridges cold enough, so please bear with us.

 

TERMS &     
CONDITIONS :  

The boat tariff is based on a maximum of 12 passengers and the minimum stay is 2 nights. Fuel for the main boat is included in the cost but fuel for the tenders is extra. These rates do not include food, drinks or ice. Ice and drinks can be organized for you from Blue Water Charters who, for a handling fee, will deliver and collect from the houseboat. Full catering can be arranged for guests, at an additional cost. Guests may board between 10am and 2pm on the day of departure but MUST disembark by 10am on their return to harbour.The houseboat will not sail in adverse weather conditions and the Company cannot be held liable for such delays.
Upon arrival you will be asked to sign an indemnity form by the Captain . Please note that the house boat will not leave harbour until this has been signed and returned to the Captain. Obviously if you have completed and returned this form to the owners in Harare, this is not applicable.
