We prefer to use small and intimate accommodations, managed by local touroperators who support the local people and their environments - at the most remote and unique locations avoiding mass tourism.
These exclusive accommodations are extremely popular and are booked up very quickly. Some of them can only accommodate up to 8 people. If you are interested in any safari that we offer we advise you to contact us early so we can make arrangements and be sure to fit in the accommodation of your choice into your itinerary.
Beside private safaris, Zimba Safaris also made a selection of safari arrangements suitable for groups from 10 people. These comfortable accommodations offer all facilities needed for large groups. Each safari is planned in such a way that the group feeling continues preserve. The arrangements are mutually to combine with each other so that a longer stay is possible.
OPTION 1 - ZIMBABWE - Victoria Falls/ Hwange NP
Day 1 – Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport - transfer to your lodge/hotel in Victoria Falls.
After lunch, approx 14hr00, you will be taken for a guided tour of the falls. The tour includes transfers, the falls entrance fee, a guide, and water while you are walking around the falls. The tour lasts for ± an hour and a half.
From the falls you will be transfered to the jetty to go on a sunsetcruise. This cruise starts at 16h00 and lasts for about two and a half to three hours. While on the cruise you will be provided with a full bar and snacks. On getting back to the jetty you will have a BBQ dinner before being transfered to your accommodation.
Day 2 / 3 – After breakfast you will be taken to the Hwange National Park for some excellent game drives and when possible an exciting walking safari. You will spend the night in the national park in a cottage/chalet - including breakfast - lunch and diner.
On day 3 you will return to your accommodation in Victoria Falls in the late afternoon.
In the evening you will be met by a transfer company and taken to a traditional Zimbabwean restaurant where traditional customs, such as local beer tasting and pre-dinner handwashing, are observed while the sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by Ndebele performers who captivate diners with their vibrant and energetic songs and dance. Steeped in mystery, a witchdoctor adds a touch of drama and after dinner guests are invited to wile away the evening with the restaurant’s sangoma - a traditional story teller - to learn more about the country’s folklore, culture and heritage. (excluding drinks)
Once you have completed diner you will be transfered back to your accommodation.
Day 4 – After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for your journey back home or to your next destination.

OPTION 2 - ZIMBABWE/BOTSWANA - Victoria Falls/Zambezi/Chobe
Day 1 –
Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport - transfer to your lodge/hotel in Victoria Falls.

Day 2 –
You will be picked up for a Chobe Day trip from your accommodation at 07h15. You will be transfered to the border in a closed vehicle. At the border you will be met by safari vehicles. You will have breakfast while you are having your briefing. From there you will be put into safari vehicles and will do a two and a half to three hour game drive in the Chobe National Park. Refreshments are provided while on drive. From the game drive you will be transfered onto a boat to do a boat cruise on the Chobe River. While on the boat you will have a buffet lunch and drinks will be provided. The cruise lasts for approximately two hours. Once the cruise has been completed you will be transfered back to your accommodation in Victoria Falls.

OPTION 3 - ZIMBABWE - Victoria Falls/ Zambezi Rivier
Day 1 – Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport - transfer to your lodge/hotel in Victoria Falls.
After lunch, approx 14hr00, you will be taken for a guided tour of the falls. The tour includes transfers, the falls entrance fee, a guide, and water while you are walking around the falls. The tour lasts for ± an hour and a half.

Day 2 –
You will be met in the morning and transfered into the Victoria Falls National Park to begin a Full Day Canoe Trip on the Zambezi River. You will be provided with breakfast and lunch while you are doing the activity. Once the canoeing has been completed you will be transfered back to your accommodation in Victoria Falls.
This evening you will be met by a transfer company and taken to a traditional Zimbabwean restaurant where traditional customs, such as local beer tasting and pre-dinner handwashing, are observed while the sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by Ndebele performers who captivate diners with their vibrant and energetic songs and dance. OPTION 4 - ZIMBABWE - lake Kariba/ Matusadona
Day 1 – Arrival at Lusaka Airport - transfer to the harbor of kariba to commence the houseboat safari. You will be met by the crew with drinks and snacks. In the afternoon you will go on a walking safari in Matusadona National Park and/or a game viewing per tender along the shoreline of Lake Kariba. In the evening you will enjoy a three course diner.
Day 2 / 3 –
These days you will undertake walking safaris, game viewing and sundowner cruises under guidance of a qualified and armed guide. At the hottest part of the day, a well earned meal will be served on deck and you will have time to sit back and enjoy the view and cool breeze while the boat is moving onto another spot. - breakfast - lunch and diner
Depending on the type of boat you will have the use of a splash / plungepool or a jaccuzi. Larger boats which can host from 30 people also include facilities such as a games deck, a shop, a conference room and a dining saloon with dansfloor where at night a local Ships Band ensures entertaiment.
Day 4 – After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for your journey back home or to your next destination.

OPTION 5 - ZAMBIA - South Luangwa
Day 1 – At Lusaka Airport a representative of the charter company will meet you and transfer you onto a light aircraft to Mfuwe. At Mfuwe Airport, a representative from the company will meet you and take you to the Mfuwe Lodge in South Luangwa.
Mfuwe Lodge is a luxury Lodge situated INSIDE the South Luangwa National Park. It is one of only two permanent lodges inside the national Park.The Lodge is open 12 months of the year and is surrounded by an excellent all weather road network, which allows for extensive game viewing by vehicle. While your luggage is off loaded you will enjoy a welcome drink and be guided to your chalet. This afternoon you will undertake an excellent game drive and / or night drive.
When returning back to the lodge you will enjoy a three course diner in the open diningroom.
Day 2 / 3 – These days you will undertake several game drives and between the drives and meals you can relax by the large swimmingpool with a cool drink or just enjoy the comfort and view of your own chalet. Includes breakfast - lunch and diner and three activities a day which last approx. 3hours per activity.
Day 4 – After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for your journey back home or to your next destination.

OPTION 6 - TANZANIA - Big Five Safari - Serengeti/ Ngorongoro Crater
Day 1 –
Met at the Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to Arusha for Accommodation overnight.
Welcome and briefing on the trip.
Day 2 –
Depart at 8.00AM ( drive ~3hr30 ), enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, have a first glance of a fantastic view of the Ngorongoro Crater at the crater rim view site, continue descent onto the crater floor, game drive on the crater floor. This is the only Park where, Black Rhino could be spotted. packed lunch at a picnic site, and continue game drive until late afternoon. Night will be spend in the Wild Life Lodge on the rim of the crater with en-suite facilities.
Day 3 –
After breakfast, 07h30am, drive pass the malanja depression and plains, en-route game viewing, visit Olduvai Gorge Museum, continue en-route game viewing to Naabi Park Gate. ( Naabi Park gate is the border of Ngorongoro Conservation area and Serengeti National Park ), here you can opted to do a short 15 minutes designated Nature Trail Walk on the Slopes of Naabi hill. You will enter Serengeti National Park, packed lunch and continue a further afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park. Before 6pm we will drive to our overnight at Serengeti.
Day 4 – Full day game drive of Serengeti National Park ( lunch or Packed lunch, as game drive timing will depend on where Wildlife can be best spotted ).
Day 5 – After breakfast, en-route game drive of Serengeti Park and en-route to Arusha for your next destination or returnflight home.

OPTION 7 - MALAWI - Liwonde NP
Day 1 – At Lilongwe Airport you will be met by a representative and taken by roadtransfer to Liwonde Town for a fantastic boattrip over the Shire River to Liwonde NP.
This river trip takes you 30 kilometres along the Shire, offering an excellent chance to see game and birds en-route and the ever-changing scenery and vegetation along the banks.
Arrival at Mvuu Camp where there is time for a snack or a lunch. Late midday and afternoon you will go on a game drive.
The camp is a clever mix of stone and canvas chalets and specially-designed family units. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area is situated nearby, offering a magnificent river vista. Dinners are sometimes held 'under the stars' in a specially constructed boma.
The area can be explored via a diverse array of activities such as boating trips on the Shire River, game drives (morning and afternoon / evening), nature walks, bike rides and non-stop birding.
Day 2 –
Below a suggestion as to what may happen in camp - as daily wildlife sightings tend to throw the schedule right out of schedule.
