BOOK YOUR TRIP EARLY
We prefer to use small and intimate accommodations, managed by local touroperators who support the local people and their environments - at the most remote and unique locations avoiding mass tourism. These exclusive accommodations are extremely popular and are booked up very quickly. Some of them can only accommodate up to 8 people. If you are interested in any safari that we offer we advise you to contact us early so we can make arrangements and be sure to fit in the accommodation of your choice into your itinerary.

Zimbabwe

The Victoria Falls is one of worlds greatest wonders of nature. The Zambezi River drops 100 metres (approx. 300 feet) over a 1.6km wide (1-mile) sheer fault line and creates a spray that can be seen up to 32km (20 miles) away. The Falls are about 1000km from the source of the Zambezi River in western Zambia. Towards the end of a normal rainy season the flow of water over the Falls reaches 500 000 cu m per minute. During the dry season the flow can be very minimal. Due to the damp climate close to the falls, an unusually dense riverine forest is created.

Besides the falls themselves which attracts many tourists from all over the world there are many game viewing opportunities in the area as well as a wide variety of activities. Victoria Falls is the most commonly known tourist attraction in Zimbabwe.

The town of Victoria Falls can rightly claim the title of 'Adventure Capital of Africa'. Bungee jumping off the railway bridge where you plunge 111 metres (360ft) and then bounce for a while above the raging river! - White water rafting through the Batoka Gorge downstream of the falls (said to be the world’s most exciting stretch of rafting) For surfers, a new addition to the attractions is a chance to bodyboard the huge standing waves set up as the river bounces off underwater boulders. A tandem microlight is perhaps the ultimate way to see what Livingstone’s angels saw, but for the less adventurous there are regular helicopter and light aircraft flights for a similar perspective.

You could of course opt for more sedate relaxation such as a tranquil sundowner cruise on the Zambezi above Victoria Falls, with a gin and tonic in one hand and a pair of binoculars to spot hippos, crocs and colourful bird life, in the other.
