BOOK YOUR TRIP EARLY
We prefer to use small and intimate accommodations, managed by local touroperators who support the local people and their environments - at the most remote and unique locations avoiding mass tourism.
These exclusive accommodations are extremely popular and are booked up very quickly. Some of them can only accommodate up to 8 people. If you are interested in any safari that we offer we advise you to contact us early so we can make arrangements and be sure to fit in the accommodation of your choice into your itinerary.

Nature at it's most breathtaking.
The smallest of Tanzania's national parks, Gombe is a thin strip of ancient forest set among mountains and steep valleys on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. The national park is divided by a series of 13 streams, carving deep valleys into the rift escarpment and flowing into the Lake.
The location of Dr. Jane Goodall’s internationally acclaimed research centre is a home to a population of around 100 Chimpanzees.
Gombe National Park is situated 16km north of Kigoma town. This narrow park extends over 52 sq km of mountainous terrain climbing from the shores of Lake Tanganyika
The chimpanzees are the main attraction in Gombe - these remarkable mammals are as individually unique as humans and to see them going about their daily lives in their natural habitat is an experience not to be missed.
The majority of mammals in Gombe are primates, and in addition to the famous chimpanzees, you may see olive baboons and vervet, blue and red-tail monkeys.
Leopard and bushbuck also live in the dense forest, and fish eagles are often seen flying overhead.
And because carnivores are rare, Gombe is the perfect place for a walking safari, allowing you to cool off along the way with a swim in one of the many streams which criss-cross the park.
The best time to visit Gombe is during the dry season, May to October, and during the short rains of January and February.

Gombe Luxury Tented Camp
is beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Tanganyika and is the only tented camp in the park.
Beside the peaceful sounds of Mitumba stream lies the camp with the perfect combination of luxury and preservation in the region.
The spacious tents are shaded by huge mango trees and each tent features an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water.
The dining area is situated a couple of metres from the waters of the Lake Tanganyika, set on a raised wooden deck above ground. Spend the evening sitting beside a campfire on the beach, enjoying sundowners and regaling the day’s adventures.
After a hard day of climbing hills tracking Chimpanzees, Gombe Tented Camp is the perfect place to wind down, be pampered and re-energised for your next adventure.
Chimpanzee tracking is the main attraction at Gombe and Mahale, and is always given a high priority. Tracking usually begins early in the morning, with the Guides usually starting at the area where the Chimpanzees nested the previous night and tracking from there.
You'll be back in camp at lunchtime. Afternoons are determined only by how energetic you feel. Choose between further chimpanzee tracking, swimming at the beach, fishing or just relax with a book.
There are also two spectacular waterfalls to be discovered - Kakombe, an easy 30 minutes walk away, and Mkenke, a hour climb for the more energetic.
